Internet Explorer Quick Proxy Changer

Fast way to change your proxy settings in IE. Enable or disable the proxy, or set it to a default setting or an alternate setting. Minimizes to the system tray where you are only a right-click away from changing the setting. Great to use if you need to change your proxy often. (You may need to restart IE when you change the proxy for the change to take effect) No need to install, runs right from the exe file. Works on all versions of Windows.

Be sure you understand what a proxy is and how it works before changing your proxy.

The program does not do anything else but change the IE proxy setting on the PC.

This is a wonderful utility . and works very fine when you you have users who are travelling and you may need to add multiple servers for browing , but in my network , i wanted hard code my proxy servers and did not want to user to change or remove proxies . this could have helped to prevent user changing their proxy settings every now and then ….

    but overall .. wonderful tool

I tried 3 different IE proxy tools. This is the only one that actually worked correctly and I could switch quickly/directly from it’s Windows system tray icon. The only thing I can’t figure out is how to load it directly into the Windows system tray. I have to manually minimize it every time. I can’t define minimize in the shortcut icon properties either.

    Hi,

Can you add a minor improvement to the application? Instead of only two proxys, it would be great if you can insert a list of several proxys.. I am also traveling a lot and it would be great if I could select the proxy from the list that is nearest to my location

I need to put like 4 or 5 proxies in a textarea or similar list and select the one that i need

Works a treat on Windows 7

I use both IE9 and FF
In FF I set the proxy to “Use system proxy settings” and then I only have to update the windows system proxy (which is what IE shows). Going though the motions for the proxy in IE9 is annoying and your app will be very helpful.

I have added it to the startup folder in the start menu. I wonder how to do this in WIN8 ;-)

    thanks loads

    Dave

I wonder what the license type is for this app? Would be great for us but we are a company.
