I have been going for 7 years for these adjustments. They helped in the beginning but do not help anymore. I will have an adjustment and providing I don’t move, I am fine. The other day I danced and it, the atlas, went out. I travel a distance to a chiro for this. I am sick of it. It is expensive and I don’t stay “in”.

I don’t know what to believe anymore. There are times when an adjustment will only last for an hour. That’s just wrong.

My 13 year old granddaughter (her birthday was just last week) received her back brace for scoliosis last week and I really don’t have a lot of faith in it although she gets her treatment thru the Scottish Rite Hsptl in Dallas so I know they are good, but right now I want to try anything they think might help her. I appreciate Joan’s commenta and very happy to kn0w how much it helped her son. Problem is, this girl’s is in the lower back above the waist and I don’t believe this treatment will be as effective, but I am still open to consideration. Her spine is 27 degrees off vertical and moved 10 degrees in the six months between her checkups.

As far as the hard sell some of them give you, that is when I run. I didn’t really need a chiropractor and after 60 years of age, I had a catch in my hip and thought they might help me so I went to a regular chiropractor. They did some manipulations which did not help in the least and then I got the hard sell. The woman said that if I didn’t sign up for their program she was afraid of what might happen to me…heart attack, diabetes, etc. I told her she was an alarmist and there are none of those problems in my family history. She VERY sincerely assured me she was only interested in my welfare and I needed their help NOW. I left and never went back. When they show me they are more interested in the money than me, I run and never return.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS at all about this, please share them. I have researched and researched this and as serious as it is, there is not as much out there as I would like. My biggest concern is that Scottish Rite does not give her recommend exercises or diet nor have they inquired about family history of orthopedic problems and there is a serious osteoporosis problems in the mother’s side of the family.

I’ve been going to an Atlas Orthogonal for 5 years. My doctor:

1) First had a consultation with me and told me he’d ONLY treat me IF HE FELT HE COULD TREAT ME

2) Did a series of through x-rays and went through the results with me

3) The first few weeks (3 I believe) I went once a week… once I was holding adjustment I didn’t need to return except for every 4 to 6 weeks depending on how I was doing

4) I have scoliosis that was 50 degrees both thoratic and lumbar and both of been reduced to the mid 40′s!!!

5) My doctor is an honest guy and if you don’t have the money to pay he understands and will work with you

This is a treatment that works. If you have an honest, caring doctor like mine you will see great improvements.

Dont worry about the visit as long as it works and makes you feel better.. people spend hundreds of dollars in partying, eating crap , and drinking but when it comes to their health they worry they have to comeback for a visit. come on..man.. get real ..

these machines probaly work for what they were designed for but my chiropractor uses one and say come back tommarow for back adj. we cant do both the same day i think its just an excuse for another visit

Okay my 7 year old son had scoliosis and his c1 was off by over 45 degrees. We were sent to an atlas orthogonal chiropractor by my regular chiropractor.
This chiro had my son lay on his side on the table and brought the atlas machine over behind his earlobe.
It NEVER TOUCHED HIM. He clicked the button on the top that made a single fairly quiet “click”
My son stood up and bent over lifting his shirt and his scoliosis was completely corrected. I noticed IMMEDIATE results as soon as he started walking.
My son had preschool reading abilities as well as other learning disabilities. Now only a week later, he is keeping up with his summer school classmates and reading at the 2nd grade level. He can count to 100, count it by 2s, 5s, and 10s without stopping. He can count to 1000!!! When he could only count to 29 before.
I never imagined these kinds of results from the adjustment. It saved my son from surgery and gave him a whole new life.
My son can run now, he can jump with both feet off the ground, even ride a bike.
These may sound like simple things to most people, but my son was unable to do them before his adjustment with this piece of equipment.
