Say again? Yes over and over during the infomercial they mention the free heaters. They say the offer is SO good, they are limiting it to 2 orders per family. Do people actually fall for this?

Yes, it is a nice looking heater, but please don’t say over and over on the TV ad (which is different from the YouTube version above) that you are giving away free heaters!

The “Amish” in the pictures are not Amish at all. No true Amish person would allow themselves to be photographed like that. Not even the ones that belong to the most liberal churches!
From a marketing angle it’s brilliant but from a ethics point of view they are horrible.

Amish people DO allow themselves to be on camera/ pics taken, just NEVER faced towards or looking right into the camera.
They probably got a couple of the Amish kids who decided not to go back to Amish life, when they did that right of passage thing, where they live in the outside world for a few months. Now they are getting pimped by these shucksters.
I was just watching the comerical and was amazed and I know that it is made to last a life time.You cant find anything now days still made by hand I think it is great what ya’ll are doing.I love fire places but just would like to have the mess and I have seen other fire place that may look alot like the one you have and cheaper but there is no comparation to what you guys have.I would love to have one and maybe next year.
While yes, they look nice, if you just want an electric heater take $30 and go down to your local -mart store or home improvement store. You will get the same 1500 watt power.
hi im from texas i watch the imfomercial night after night one night i finally called and told them i wanted to be in the drawing for the free heater/fireplace they flat out told me they didnt know what i was talkng about so now im wondering is there really going to be a drawing or not im supposed to get information in the mail about the firplaces they do have a payment plan altho a rather high one for anyone on a fixed income as myself

If you are short on money, the heat surge is not for you. It is a standard 1500 watt heater inside a fancy (expensive) shell.
Go down to your local hardware or home center and have someone help you pick out a good heater for the money.

The heater is FREE BUT you HAVE to buy the shell. Which is $300. Nothing is free!
I would love to have 2 free heat surge fireplace. 1 for my girl friend, Jeanie White, she is sitting with not propane, she cannot afford to fill the tank for winter, this would be perfect for her, she is retired on a fix low income.
I am retired too and on a fixed small social security income. I would love 1 to lower my heating bills.

th funny thing is that the amish are supposed to shun technology so i do not understand how they make an ELECTRIC heater out of wood so i doupt the amish had anything to do with this ad

I think the heat surge would be great for everyone if they really do work as well as their advertised. It would save the economy a great deal of money,especially the way everything is going up in price and costing everyone so much money. I don’t know anyone that owns one but i would like to get the two free heaters to see if they really work. If i would get the two free heats,i would post a true comment on line as to how the heat surge really works.

The heaters are only free you have to buy the case! You cant just get the free heater without the case..
So I wonder, if I call, would they allow me to take the two free heaters but tell them to keep the cabinet? haha! It is a waste of money. Go buy an electric space heater for less. I have a similar electric fireplace. I wish I could turn off the flame at times to just run the heater and not use more electricity then needed. Now that I know better, I just get a true space heater. Plus, these are really small cabinets. The one I got years ago through another company cost about the same as the oak (the cheapest), but it is much larger. Plus, with these, you can’t set a timer or adjust the temp to a certain degree. You have to guesstimate by turning the knob and manually turn it off. I got a few different Lasko space heaters and they allow me to set the temp precisely to the degree. They also allow me to set how long it runs so I can leave the house and not worry if I am gone too long, because it will shut off on its own. The longest one runs 8 hours so I would set it before bed and not worry. Plus, what is nice about setting the temp is that it will shut off for a bit if it reaches the temp you set it to, just like your furnace would, and then kick back on when the temp dropped. This way it isn’t running constantly, unlike the electric fireplaces. Please don’t be fooled into spending your hard earned money on the electric fireplace. Sure, they might look nice, but after awhile you’ll realize like me, that all you really needed is the space heater part and you can get that at your local home store or Wal-mart for around $30.

Ok pay. Lose attention, they aren’t telling u that u can get the whole thing free, they say u get the heater free but u have to.. pay for the frame part. So in order to get the dank thing u still have to pay for it! Tell them u just want the dang heater and build ur own frame or tell u what go to Walmart and but a similar. Heater/ fireplace for cheaper!

THERE ARE NO FREE HEATERS. Repeat: THERE ARE NO FREE HEATERS. They are SELLING a $300 frame and supposedly giving you free the heat insert. (Well who the hell would want a frame WITHOUT the insert??) And you can bet they won’t give you the insert without the mantel.
There ain’t no free lunch–or free heat.

This heater is awesome! I love how they are giving away the free miracle heater. Wow! Those look just like the ones they are selling at Home Depot for $199! Only, the Home Depot ones are made of plywood and wood laminate not glued together by Amish hands. I am going to buy one of these and put it right next to my EdenPure and my Ionic Breeze!

I saw the ad for 2 free heaters and I agree with *Marilyn*. You buy the shell and the heater comes free. How can anything else be taken away from that? The hearth is talked about more than the heater. I understood that after watching it once. It depends on if you want framing or not. If you don’t go the local home improvement store and buy a heater there.
It just doesn’t seem like it would be that hard.

Yes, I agree, but th e Heat Surge folks are smart, they know that a certain percentage of Americans will hear the words “free”, and “limited offer”, etc.. and be duped. They have done their research, I am sure they are making money hand over foot on this item.
People need to learn to be more skeptical… if it’s too good to be true, its not true.
If you want to know about the surge heaters. Here is someone that can tell you it is true that it can save you money. My heat bills in the winter are way over $200.00 and when I got my surge heater and use it last year the first month I used it . It saved me over a $100.00 in heat cost. You have to make sure they are a surger heater. I ordered mine from the Amish. So feel safe ordering from the Amish. It is not a scam. God Bless Midge

Actually if the Amish can be on camera as long as they are not looking straight into the camera or facing the camera then the infomercial is deceitful, they are facing the camera! Not staring into it but there is definately times when they are directly facing it. I have no problem with what the Amish can and cannot do, but this is obvious so I am pointing this out to a comment made on here about the Amish being allowed on camera. I have heard these heaters are amazing and wouldn’t mind having one, Michigan winters are harsh and so are the bills.

It’s pretty damn funny, I emailed them and asked how much for just the insert and not the mantel and they told me $249, so then the mantel would only cost $ 50! I might pay that much for the insert but I kind of doubt it, not when I can go to a local store and get a infra red heater for $ 159. So it doesn’t look like a fireplace. Whoop de doo
