A very nice alternative to phpmyadmin is a free script called Eskuel. It is very easy to use, clean and simple layout and very quick navigation. A great feature is the ability to easily add multiple databases and manage them on a single interface. So far Eskuel has been able to accomplish anything I’ve needed to do with a MySQL database.

POP Peeper is a program I use regularly. It really saves me a lot of time. I have it setup to check Yahoo mail, it allows me to quickly check what the new message is and get back to work in just a few seconds time. I can quickly delete any junk messages and go about what I was doing without losing my train of thought. At the same time if an important messages comes in I will also see it right away and can act on the message quickly. POP Peeper has worked great for me, I would highly recommend this product. Oh, and it is free.

Aptana is a free nicely featured editor. I am currently trying it out only as a general pupose web editor. So far I like the features and the layout. The download file is actually quite large, so beware if you don’t have a fast connection. Aptana can be downloaded at www.aptana.com

This is by far my favorite XP Power toy. XP Power toys are a collection of “extra”, free software from Microsoft that you can download. Once you have downloaded and installed the power toy, it will appear on your “right-click” menu. You can see from the image to the left how easy it is to use. Anytime you need to jump into a folder to run a command, it is very quick and easy. It is one of the first items I install on a new PC I am using. Cost: Free.

Macro maker is a great piece of free software. MacroMaker is loaded with features and is 100% and totally free. I searched and tried out many different Macro programs, some free, some not free. Macro Maker came out as one of the best. You can create a macro to do just about anything you wish. Can also schedule when you would like the macro to run.
